Product Care & Help Guide

Kitchen Utensil Care & Maintenance Guide

Proper care and maintenance can help kitchen utensil accessories and cookware fittings remain clean, functional and in good condition for longer.

Please review the following general care guidance before using or cleaning your products. Always follow any care or installation instructions supplied with the individual product.

1. Pot Lid Knobs & Bakelite Handles

Installation

When installing replacement lid knobs or handles, avoid overtightening mounting screws. Tighten the fixing securely without applying excessive force, as excessive pressure may damage the fitting or the cookware component.

Where applicable, use a suitable screwdriver and check that the fitting is secure before use.

Cleaning

Clean lid knobs and handles with warm water and mild washing-up liquid unless the product instructions state otherwise.

Avoid prolonged exposure to aggressive cleaning chemicals or abrasive products, as these may affect the surface finish or material.

2. Silicone Grips & Utensil Sleeves

Heat & Flame

Silicone grips and sleeves should only be used within the temperature limits specified for the particular product.

Do not place silicone accessories directly in an open flame or directly against a grill or broiler heating element unless the product is specifically designed and rated for such use.

Keep handles and grips away from direct heat sources wherever possible.

Cleaning

Wash silicone accessories with warm water and mild washing-up liquid unless otherwise stated in the product instructions.

After washing, allow the accessory to dry completely before reinstalling or using it.

3. Stainless Steel Utensil Mounts & Hanging Accessories

Moisture Care

After washing stainless steel hooks, brackets and utensil accessories, dry them thoroughly with a clean cloth.

Drying can help reduce water marks and limescale deposits, particularly in areas with hard water.

Cleaning

Use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge for routine cleaning.

Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners, steel wool or aggressive scouring pads where these may scratch or damage the surface.

4. General Safety & Maintenance

Before using a replacement fitting or accessory, check that it is correctly installed and securely attached.

Inspect fittings periodically for signs of damage, looseness, cracking, deformation or excessive wear. Replace damaged components before continued use.

If a product is supplied with specific installation, cleaning or temperature instructions, those instructions take priority over this general guidance.

If you are unsure whether a replacement accessory is suitable for your cookware, please check the product specifications and compatibility information before installation.
